Ladysmith Black Mambazo

That is what SO nicknamed my shirt because of it's tribal pattern lol. This is my favorite shirt to wear with my new hair, and these lips.

I don't normally do a cat eye because my eye shape doesn't allow for very nice looking ones, but this one turned out decent. If my eyes were shut though, you'd see what I meant by it not looking very good. I have fat below my eyebrow that hangs over my eyelid, especially on the outer corner of my eye, and I have to do winged liner in a very particular way. I wish I just had the courage to get eyelid surgery.

Here's what I used:

Face:
-Too Faced BB in Vanilla Glow
-Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder in Light/Medium
-Mac Blush in Melba
-Nars Blush in Exhibit A (just a very tiny dusting)

Eyes:
-Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Ash
-Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel in Espresso
-Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Black

Lips:
-MAC Lipstick in Lady Danger

New Hair!!!

Well it's not SUPER new,it's about 2 weeks old, but I haven't posted about it yet. I haven't posted ANYTHING in awhile. I started out with about a level 4 brown, and asked her to do lots of blonde highlights, and I told her that I did NOT want them to be subtle. I'm going back again at the end of July to get more put in. I eventually want to try to get back close to my natural hair colour, that way it won't look so bad when my roots grow out.

This is the type of look i'm trying to achieve:

WnW Pinkerbell

I bought this shade awhile ago, and only tried it on for the first time a few days ago. I had no other makeup on, so it was very shockingly bright against my sullen, blotchy skin lol. I decided to try it again, this time with my face ON.

April Birchbox

So today I received my April Birchbox, which I knew was going to be "green" themed, and I wasn't too thrilled about that, since i'm not at all into anything organic or green. I have to say I was pretty disappointed with this box. So far it's the worst one I've received. At least I got a nail polish (although hoping I would get a different shade) Here are the items I got in my box, and a brief opinion:

-Atelier Cologne|Orange Sanguine Cologne Absolue (smells like orange and sandalwood)
-Marula The Leakey Collection|Omega Rich Pure Marula Oil (super soft on skin)
-Weleda|Pomegranate Firming Night Cream (super greasy on my skin)
-Zoya|TRUE Spring Collection (I got the shade Farah...its a nice enough beige)
-Yes To Blueberries|Brightening Facial Towelettes (Haven't tried, but excited to)

Pick My Colours: Red,Purple, and Blue

So, lately I've been having some trouble being inspired to do makeup, and it always helps when I have a colour scheme that i'm forced to do, so I had asked people on my facebook to pick one for me, and Andrea over at Adicted to the Allure Of Beauty did! She picked Red, Purple and Blue. I loved the purple and blue part, but was nervous about throwing the red in there. Anyhoo here's what I came up with...I feel like I was going to an party back in 1985. I'm making some seriously weird faces in these, so beware

Too Faced Tinted Beauty Balm

Ever since I heard about beauty balms, i've been dying to try one, but just never got around to it until recently. I saw this at Sephora, and asked if I could have a sample, because I loved the way it looked on my hand.

After using my sample up during my vacation to Florida, I knew that I wanted to get a full size, so I went back to Sephora and picked it up. I got the colour Vanilla Glow, and i'm a NC 20-25 in MAC foundation.

Here's what Sephora says about it:

What it is:
A multi-benefit BB cream that tints, primes, nourishes, prevents, and protects skin in one easy step.

What it does:
This innovative cream offers both makeup and skincare benefits in one effortless step. Achieve better-than-real looking skin today and healthier skin long term by using this antiaging, multi-mineral complex that promotes cell health, strengthens skin's elasticity, and enhances luminosity. This versatile tinted skin perfector instantly delivers oil-free hydration and primes the skin while protecting with a chemical-free SPF 20 UVA/UVB broad-spectrum sunscreen. Wear any of the shades alone or under foundation to achieve your ideal level of luminous coverage.

I haven't tried it under liquid foundation yet, because I get pretty decent coverage out of it alone. You're supposed to be able to use this as a sort of primer if you want to, but i've used a primer under it a couple of times, and it really looks nice. If you want a little extra coverage, you can dust a powder foundation over it, that's what i've been doing, and I think it looks great. So far this stuff is a keeper!

Chanel Peridot (finally)

I know i'm late to jump on the Peridot bandwagon, but better late than never! I picked this beauty up while on my vacation in Florida last week. We went to this mall that was pretty upscale, and I passed this on the way in, and decided to pick it up on the way out. I had always planned on getting it, but didn't want to pay shipping, so I was glad I could finally find it in a store. No way in hell any store around here would carry Chanel lol.

It is really a beautiful polish. I don't need to describe it, because pictures speak for themselves. It's just gorgeous, and the formula is very nice. Here are the pics!

Stormy Blue Ombre NOTD

This was my first time doing ombre. I never used to like the look of it, but it's kinda grown on me. I still much prefer gradients though, but this is nice for something a little different. It was kind of a PITA though because I ended up mixing the colours to get the right effect, and that was kind of messy. I look forward to doing more though, where I don't have to mix!

Polishes Used:

(L-R): Urban Outfitters Crowded, Ulta Bam-Blue-Zled, Icing My Blue Heaven (one of my favorite colours), and ChG franken

UO Crowded on thumb (not pictured)

New Revlons and NOTD

So the other week I was at Target, and I saw a new display of Revlons. There were only a couple that caught my eye though. Those were Ocean and First Class, which is a Target Exclusive (so the display said). There was one more pinkish coloured one that I kinda liked, but I only got Ocean, and First Class.

First Class reminds me of the colour of the Pan Am stewardess outfit (maybe their inspiration???) so I just call the polish Pan Am lolol. Ocean was GORGEOUS in the fluorescent lighting of Target, but failed to blow me away when I got it home. Don't get me wrong, it's still very pretty, but just not amazing like it was at Target. Here are a picture of the 2 polishes.

Here is my NOTD using First Class (or Pan Am lol) and $OPI Only Gold For Me as a glitter gradient.
