Smoking Room

You'll soon come to see that I come up with some goofy names for my looks. This one is a smokey eye and the lips remind me of the 60's and they smoked a lot in the 60's so it made me think "smoking room" lol. You should have seen the names I had for the titles of my old online journal entries...I would say whatever popped in my head, and some of them were dooooozies. Anyhoo, I wanted to use my new NARS Bolero Velvet Matte Lip Pencil. I like this look a lot better than the one I posted Last Night.

Valley of the Dolls

This look reminds me of the late 60's. I just purchased this lip colour today (Nars Bolero) I saw this colour and knew I NEEDED it. I have been wanting a colour like this for awhile, and wanted to purchace Illamasqua lipstick in Obey, but it wasn't easily available. Aaaanyhoo...I love the shade, but I don't like the way it settles into the lip lines, but that's to be expected with a matte formula. You definitely need to have exfoliated moisturized lips before wearing it. ONWARD!

Wet N' Wild Ice Baby: Cost Is No Issue

When I first saw these nail polishes at Walgreens, I was initally excited of course, that is until I realized they are exact dupes of Nails Inc 3D glitters. Luckily I had only purchased one of the Nails Inc polishes, so I didn't kick myself too hard. I only picked up Cost Is No Issue, but I plan on getting maybe 1 or 2 more. This is a vivid aqua glitter with slightly larger bright blue glitter throughout. It really is gorgeous, and eyecatching. I used 2 coats over 1 coat Sally Hansen Insta Dri polish in Mint Sprint

Fairytale Neutrals

Finally updating with a current look! I named this one fairytale neutrals because the colours I used just kinda reminded me of a fantasyland...they were soft, sparkly and iridescent. I had been wanting to use my Cargo Metallico Eye Kit for quite sometime. I purchased it when it first came out a few months ago, and haven't really used it yet. I think this would be a great wedding look. It's neutral, but has that sparkle for a little extra something. It's really beautiful. I'm really disappointed that this look didn't translate well into pictures. It is much more sparkly and pretty in real life, but here they are!

Monistat for hair growth

Hey guys! For the past month i've been using Monistat (yes the stuff for yeast infections..blegh) to help with hair growth. I first learned about this from seeing THIS video.

I will let her explain it to you, so I don't have to.

ANYHOOOO...I just wanted to show my results so far. I use Monistat 7 2% and dilute it with warm water, and use a hair colour applicator to apply it. It looks like it's been working pretty well?

Wonder of CONTOURING & HIGHLIGHTING!

When we put on foundation, our faces tend to lose some dimension, especially if you like to use a heavy coverage foundation like me. Contouring and highlighting is a great way to give your face some dimension back. When you have a fat chubby face like me, then it's especially great! Here is a picture of me before contouring and highlighting. All I have on is foundation, mascara, and i've filled in my eyebrows.

Here I am after i've contoured and highlighted my face. All I used is my contouring powder and highlighting creme. I like to use MAC blush in Blunt and Benefit High Beam. No other makeup was used aside from a little clear lipgloss. See what a difference it makes.

This picture shows where I contoured (red) and highlighted (white)
